Gladys Valentin joined EDAC as a Graduate Research Assistant in 2015 and became a staff member in 2018. Her academic background includes a Master of Science in Geography with emphasis in GIScience from the University of New Mexico, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography focusing on GIS and Physical Geography from the University of Puerto Rico. Ms. Valentin has worked on projects related to broadband mapping, political subdivisions data, and FEMA’s Cooperating Technical Partners Program. Her interests include GIScience, Remote Sensing, Python applications in GIS, and natural hazards. She is a member of the New Mexico Geographic Information Council (NMGIC).
