Amy Budge retired in August 2014 after working at EDAC for 39 years. Ms. Budge graduated from The University of New Mexico’s Department of Geography in 1975. She was manager of Program Development and project coordinator and team lead for EDAC’s major federally funded projects. She is past director of the ASPRS GIS Division and past president of the New Mexico Geographic Information Council (NMGIC). She was one of the founding members of NMGIC. She represented the State of New Mexico on the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) from 1995-2005. In the ISPRS community, she was the Technical Secretary for Commission I (Platforms, Sensors, and Imagery) from 2000-2004, and was co-chair of Commission VIII/WG 2 (Hazards, Disasters, and Public Health) from 2004-2008, and chair of the Commission VIII/WG2 on Health working group from 2008-2012. She was ISPRS Assistant Treasurer from 2004 -2012. Additionally, she is a Fellow of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. Her current focus is as a co-editor of the ASPRS Manual of Remote Sensing, 4th edition (in development).
